MB&F LEGACY MACHINE PERPETUAL PALLADIUM

WHEN ART IS EXALTEDThe impressive perpetual calendar unveiled by the Geneva-based brand in 2015 takes on new adornments, previously discovered on the LM 101. The visual impact is just as phenomenal! After rolling out a range of variations in precious metals and one in titanium, MB&F showcases a new 25-piece limited edition, the Legacy Machine Perpetual Palladium. The rare, noble metal of the 44 mm-diameter case is combined with an aquamarine-colored main plate-dial, which varies from blue to gray depending on the light. We discover the well-known time data scenography with, in particular, the off-centered lacquered hour and minute disc at 12 o'clock. The day, date and month boast their own displays respectively set at 3, 9 and 6 o'clock. This ensemble is completed by two circular-arc indicators, the first dedicated to leap years and the second to the power reserve. The spectacular balance spring hovers above them majestically. This timepiece also benefits from a technical development that was previously incorporated in the EVO model. Rectangular, slimline, quickset adjustment pushers, now even more wearer-friendly, fit perfectly along the case middle. All the time data is still driven by the complex caliber imagined by the Irish watchmaker Stephen McDonnell, assembled using some 581 components. This hand-wound movement, beating at a rhythm of 18,000 vibrations an hour, delivers 72 hours' autonomy to the watch. The dusky-hued finished applied to the components and offering more contrast can be admired through the sapphire-crystal caseback. The Legacy Machine Perpetual Palladium is worn on an alligator strap attached by a folding clasp.Price: CHF178,000 VAT-exclu. mb&f By Dan Diaconu
