Hublot BIG BANG MECA-10

MECHANICAL GEOMETRYAlmost a decade after the launch of this innovative watch with its modern aesthetic and powerful motor, the Nyon-based watchmaker unveils a redesigned version in a diameter better suited to a majority of wrists. At the LVMH Watch Week held in New York a few weeks ago, Hublot presented its new products, including the new Big Bang MECA-10 watch, a revised version of the original model unveiled in 2016 that won over “Hublotistas” and watchmaking technology enthusiasts alike. The 2025 timepiece features three references that highlight the Nyon-based manufacture’s expertise in terms of materials: King Gold, an in-house gold alloy more resistant than traditional gold, light and robust titanium, and frosted carbon with random grey patterns. Now 42mm in diameter and 13.9mm thick, with water-resistance tested to a depth of 100m, this Big Bang‘s silhouette retains the same proportions as its innovative predecessor launched less than a decade ago. Bezel and caseback are machined from the same material, and each color sunray gold, metallic gray and matte black galvanically dresses the graphic landscape formed by the bridges attached to the plate to match the movement to the case and create a harmonious structure. The openworked dial, encircled by a black flange marked with a scale, hosts two large luminescent central hands for hours and minutes, while seconds are displayed in a counter at 9 o’clock. The power reserve indicator appears at 3 o’clock in a fan-shaped aperture, with a graduation in days. This time information is provided by the 105 manual mechanical caliber, beating at a frequency of 3hz, which is equipped with two barrels and delivers an impressive autonomy of 10 days when fully wound, hence the name “MECA-10“.
