Greubel Forsey BALANCIER CONTEMPORAIN
PACKED WITH SKILLA new chapter in the history of Greubel Forsey opens with a compact watch that still stays true to the brand's technical DNA and design approach.A major innovation at Greubel Forsey has taken shape with the launch of the brand's smallest watch to date. To fine-tune this original model, limited to just 33 pieces, the movement was redesigned from scratch. The aim was to incorporate the exclusive regulating mechanism with a 12.6mm balance wheel, first launched in 2017, into a multi-levelled dial in the brand's purest style, but in smaller size. The Balancier Contemporain is housed in a 39.6mm-wide grey gold case. The inclusion of the regulating mechanism has influenced the watch's design. The features include an off-centred display of the hours and minutes on a disc placed at 2 o'clock. The small seconds are discreetly located in a sub-dial at 8 o'clock. A power reserve indicator rounds off the time complications. The design of the dial with its blue-tinted hands makes use of a wide range of finishes for optimum readability. All the features are driven by a hand-wound mechanical movement with 255 components. The ample power reserve of 72 hours is achieved with the help of two series-coupled fast-rotating barrels. The calibre also has a stop balance system activated by the crown when the time is set.The case back features an engraved grey-gold plaque where you can find a series of words outlining the Greubel Forsey philosophy.Price: 195,000 CHF not including VATBy Dan Diaconu
